Liao Jinyin jewelry retail sales fell for the first time

Last year, the total retail sales of consumer goods in Liaoning reached 1,179.31 billion yuan, an increase of 12.1% from the previous year, and the growth rate was 0.1 percentage points higher than the national average.

Yesterday, the Liaoning Provincial Service Industry Commission released the report “Analysis and Development Trends of the Consumer Goods Market in the Province in 2014”. It is expected that the total retail sales of consumer goods in the province will increase by about 11% this year.

The top three retail sales growth rates were in the cotton and linen category, mechanical and electrical products and equipment, and communications equipment, with growth rates of 21.7%, 21.2%, and 19.4%, respectively. The retail sales of gold, silver, and jewels grew from the average of the previous three years. More than 30% of high growth fell back to 2.2%.

According to statistics, the turnover of the catering industry in the province for the year amounted to 159.08 billion yuan, an increase of 14.2% over the previous year. According to preliminary calculations, in 2014, the night-time sales revenue of commercial enterprises in the province increased by 14.2% year-on-year, accounting for more than 30% of all-day sales. At night, catering consumption has accounted for more than 60% of total sales.

In 2014, the province's wealth management users reached 3,963,400. The per capita income in the first three quarters exceeded 133 yuan, of which users accounted for 43.9% after 80.

E-commerce has a significant impact on physical store operations. Among the wholesale and retail enterprises above designated size, retail sales of food, clothing, shoes and hats, and cosmetics products were more affected by online shopping, and retail sales growth slowed by 12.3, 5.6, and 4.6 percentage points year-on-year respectively. In 2014, the province’s wholesale and retail enterprises above designated size achieved online retail sales of 6.69 billion yuan, an increase of 90.1% over the previous year.
