The Nepal Apparel Association also applied for derogation from the EU's GSP regulations on clothing originating in Nepal and adjusted the tax deduction mechanism.

The first vice president of the Nepalese Apparel Association, Pandy, said: “The United States will adjust the GSP in December, and this adjustment will be conducted every 10 years. We took this opportunity to present to the U.S. trade representatives the inclusion of Nepal in the GSP. 11 kinds of export products."

Similarly, the Nepalese Garment Association also proposed to the European Union to extend the European Union's derogation mechanism for Nepal for two years. Nepal has enjoyed the benefits of this mechanism since 2004.

The Nepal Apparel Association presented such an application with the support of the Commercial Material Department.

Shawls, men's and women's shirts, trousers, skirts, dresses, sweatshirts, turtleneck, vests, scarves, shawls and dresses were incorporated into this application.
