CPSC revoked textile clothing certificate issued on January 26

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) began rescinding certain types of non-children's products on January 26 and has issued certifications for deferred enforcement orders, including vinyl plastic films, carpets and mats, and textiles. From the very beginning of the day, the manufacturer must issue a certificate for the above products based on the test of each product or a reasonable test plan to prove that it complies with the flammability standard of Chapter 16 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations.

Textile garments intended for children 12 years or younger or whose main target is children under the age of 12 must undergo third-party testing according to the flammability standards of textile clothing. This rule applies to the above clothing produced after November 16, 2010.
