Cotton price increase effect shows Shenyang prices will increase in autumn and winter

Affected by the decline in cotton production and increased demand, domestic cotton prices have soared by nearly 50% in the past six months. At present, the price increase effect of cotton has been transmitted to consumer terminals, and some clothing wholesale and retail prices in Shenyang have been increased by up to 15%. It is expected that the increase in autumn and winter clothing will be even more pronounced.

The relevant person in charge of the Liaoning Provincial Textile Association analyzed that in half a year's time, the price of cotton rose from 13,000 tons/ton to 19,000 tons/ton, but the benefits of the province's textile industry have been greatly improved. The increase in corporate profits was mainly due to two factors: on the one hand, the increase in apparel prices and the pressure on raw material costs; on the other hand, most companies purchased sufficient cotton in advance, and the increase in the price of cotton textile products led to the appreciation of stocks. According to reports, at present there are 20 textile enterprises in Liaoning, and the annual cotton production in Liaoning is 100,000 tons. The annual cotton demand of textile enterprises is 200,000 tons. The lack of cotton textiles tends to use cotton in Xinjiang.
